We are so excited to be offering productions this month perfect for children, families, and anyone who still has that childlike wonder within. If you are joining us at the Ahmanson, we are thrilled to be producing the musical stage adaptation of the classic 1983 holiday film, A Christmas Story, which features a catchy holiday score by the acclaimed duo behind Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land, and The Greatest Showman. You are in for a treat as you get to experience Ralphie and the gang in a whole new way this holiday season—just in time to celebrate the film’s 40th anniversary for those of you young enough to have caught the movie’s premiere in theatres! Meanwhile, at the Douglas, Dog Man: The Musical—based on the international best-selling children’s book series by Dav Pilkey—has been delighting audiences with the capers of this heroic hound who  has a nose for justice. 

The holidays are a time for family, tradition, laughter, and eggnog. They are also a time for us to show gratitude and reflect on all that we are lucky to have. I want to thank you all for your support of Center Theatre Group and give a big shout out of gratitude to the artists, board, and staff of Center Theatre Group for their tireless work. So, with that, here’s to all the dreams, all the memories, and all the magic that make up the holiday season.
